Art Classes & Course for Beginners and Advanced Painters

Are you interested in taking part in a leisure art course?

I cover sketching and watercolour painting at all the village venues listed below. The courses are based on landscape painting, but we take some interesting artistic detours from time to time.

Each session features a short period of techniques - based teaching, followed by students pursuing their own work based on the theme of the day. There are two 10 week terms in the winter period, and in the 8 week summer term the emphasis is usually upon sketching out of doors in the beautiful Devon countryside - when the weather permits!

Artists of all levels of accomplishment are catered for. I am very happy to start beginners with basic instruction on painting and drawing at any time. Simply turn up at one of the venues listed below at the time indicated, and give it a try.

Summer Special Sketching Day

10.30am - 3.30pm Thursday August 7^th at Manaton, Dartmoor

Meet at 10.30am at the car park next to the parish church. Lots of lovely village buildings, views of Dartmoor, including Bowerman's Nose. Kes Tor Inn nearby for lunch/coffee/loos. ALSO Special Kes Tor Inn Bakery Day on at the same time - breads, pasties, buns, cream products and confectionary.
